New Home Sales Improve Slightly
According to a new Commerce Department servery, new home sales increased slightly for the month of April, 2008. Although this increase was the first for 5 consecutive months, compared to year before April was as much as 42% off.
The median sales price of new houses sold in April rose 9.1 percent compared with March to 246,100 dollars, marking the highest median price level since November of last year.
There are various reasons that can be attributed to this increase, including buyers prefer to shop for new home during warmer weather, and new home builders are offering many substantial discounts to attract buyers.
